An excerpt from the recently released DVD of some of Marvin’s greatest live performances on TV and film, “Real Thing: In Performance 1964-1981,” This live performance comes from the long out-of-circulation 1973 film, “Save The Children” with James Jamerson on bass.

Just because an artist has 50 million views on YouTube, it does not mean quality. 50 million views does not mean 50 million people actually watched it … it’s very likely manipulated numbers. We all have to listen to the Legends of Great music before, that created hard knocks standards of quality; to compare &test true talents of today.
These songs are beyond good, they’re STILL so relevant – they could’ve been written yesterday – a sign of true genius if ever there was one. He was peerless in his time and remains so to this day.
